Cursed with an incurable pestilence by Idinehleith, Arch Paladin Tyrius III has vowed to act as the leader of his order until his body and mind fail him. So far he has persevered, but the latest expedition into Idinehelieth's Sands will test both. He has already accepted that the journey will kill him, but he would rather perish enacting his patron's will than on a straw mattress of a sanatorium.
