The commander of the Unseen Wardens' expedition to Tharador. Having travelled hailed from Tharador in some of his previous lives, Hu Shen is able to recall some of the continent's customs and languages, though that was centuries ago. Having seen what the Cult of the Coiled Serpent is capable of first hand, he sees it as his personal duty to prevent them from inflicting their insidious malice upon the people of Tharador.
