A megafauna arthropod native to the mountains of Sudd Tohst and Dornat Al Karit — one of Tharador's deadliest hunters. It lurks beneath desert dunes for weeks in hibernation, awakening at the minute vibrations of footsteps. Prey chosen by the Ashqarid has little chance of survival.
